As part of the changes, some of them will be temporarily relocated to a section at the Hamranes substation, but the lines are scheduled to be removed with the introduction of a new line, the Lyklafell line.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Steinunn \u00deorsteinsd\u00f3ttir, a spokesperson for Landsnet, says preparations have gone well, all materials have arrived in the country and track construction is about to begin. A contract has been awarded to Elnos from Bosnia for the assembly of the masts and the stringing of the lines, and this work is expected to begin in mid-July. The works are not expected to cause significant noise or disruption for residents in the area, and should be completed by the end of August.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/hamraneslinur.jpg\" alt=\"Hamranes Lines\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1746px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1746\/1054;\"><\/p>\n<p>These works mark a milestone in the development of the Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0 and Hamranes areas. The location of the Hamranes line through the Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0ar neighbourhood has been holding up development, and there have been plans to move the lines for quite some time. R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, is hopefully pleased that the works are about to begin. \u201e<em>This May, we will be allocating the first plots in Phase 3 of the Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arhverfi development. All plots in Phase 1 have been sold, and a number of plots in Phase 2, where development is already underway. Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li has opened, and the nursery school will open next autumn. It is therefore very pleasing for everyone that these works have now begun, allowing the development of the neighbourhood to continue. \u00c1svallabraut will then open up further opportunities for the neighbourhood.<\/em>\u201csays R\u00f3sa. Soon, plots in Hamranes, a new, family-friendly housing estate running parallel to Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0, will be ready for allocation.
