Participation is free and everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6th June \u2013 Undirhl\u00ed\u00f0ar \u2013 an unexpected incident<\/strong><br \/>Einar Sk\u00falason leads a 90-120 minute walk to Undirhl\u00ed\u00f0ar over varied terrain. Along the way, there will be a surprise event or events that make the walk an even more enjoyable experience.&nbsp;<em>From the car park on Kald\u00e1rselsveg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>13 June \u2013 In the footsteps of the photographs<\/strong><br \/>Curator Kirsten Simonsen and architect Magnea Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir walk through the exhibition 'T\u00edmahv\u00f6rf', a photography exhibition currently on display at Hafnarborg. They will discuss the town, its development, and its image as reflected in the photographs of eight contemporary photographers. <em>The walk from Hafnarborg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>20th June \u2013 Children's Walk at 6:00 p.m.<br \/><\/strong>Fanney R\u00f3s Magn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir, a sports scientist, is leading a children's walk around V\u00ed\u00f0ista\u00f0at\u00fan. It's a fun walk for the whole family, with warm-ups, games, stretches and relaxation, specially designed for our youngest walkers. <em>The walk starts from the outdoor barbecue hut in V\u00ed\u00f0ista\u00f0at\u00fan. The coals in the barbecue hut will be hot after the walk for those who wish to barbecue.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>27 June \u2013 110 years of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Harbour<\/strong><br \/>Harbour Master Ludvig Geirsson of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Harbour leads a tour of the Folk Museum's photography exhibition on Strandgata. <em>The Gang from Drafnarslip<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4th July \u2013 Family walk in Valab\u00f3l at 18:00<\/strong><br \/>Kolbr\u00fan Krist\u00ednard\u00f3ttir, a paediatric physiotherapist, is leading a walk to Valab\u00f3l. Participants are encouraged to bring a homemade, healthy snack, as we will stop for a break halfway through the walk. <em>From the car park on Kald\u00e1rselsveg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>11th July \u2013 Lava \u2013 where is the beauty?<br \/><\/strong>Kristj\u00e1n \u00d6rn Kjartansson, an architect at KRADS, leads a walk through Hraunin, focusing on the neighbourhood as it is today and outlining a vision for its future, which is now undergoing a revitalisation. <em>The walk from Bonus Helluhrauni<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>18 July \u2013 Stekkjarhraun<\/strong><br \/>J\u00f3natan Gar\u00f0arsson leads a walk through Stekkjarhraun to L\u00e6kjarbotnar. <em>The Setberg School Walk<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>25 July \u2013 Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edk<\/strong><br \/>A heritage walk through the settlement of Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edk, the manor farm and the parish church.<em> The path from the car park at the Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurb\u00e6r settlement<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>1 August \u2013 The Master Builder in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<br \/><\/strong>Architect P\u00e9tur H. \u00c1rmannsson leads a walk between buildings designed in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur by architect and State Building Superintendent Gu\u00f0j\u00f3n Sam\u00faelsson, and also discusses Gu\u00f0j\u00f3n's ideas for the town's layout. P\u00e9tur is currently working on a book about Gu\u00f0j\u00f3n and an exhibition to be held at Hafnarborg this winter.&nbsp;<em>The walk from Hafnarborg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>8 August \u2013 The Literary Town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/strong><br \/>Literary scholar Hjalti Sn\u00e6r \u00c6gisson leads a walk in the footsteps of writers and poets from Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. We will pause outside the homes of several well-known authors, chat about memorable books and read extracts from selected works. Special emphasis will be placed on the period 1940-1980 in prose and poetry, and we will discuss literary works set in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.&nbsp;<em>The walk from Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Library<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>15th August \u2013 Forest walk in H\u00f6f\u00f0ask\u00f3g<br \/><\/strong>Steinar Bj\u00f6rgvinsson, manager of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Forestry Society, will lead a woodland walk through H\u00f6f\u00f0ask\u00f3g. Steinar is very familiar with the area around the forest and what the woods have to offer. This time, the focus will be on the tree and rose collection, with a discussion of all the diverse species that have been successfully established in H\u00f6f\u00f0ask\u00f3g. <em>Meeting at the \u00de\u00f6ll Nursery on Kald\u00e1rselsveg<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>22 August \u2013 Aluminium Walk around Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/strong><br \/>Folklorist Brynd\u00eds Bj\u00f6rgvinsd\u00f3ttir will lead a walk visiting several historic and fairy stones in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, tracing their history and placing it in the context of various theories about Icelandic belief in fairies.
