Katla Sif Snorrad\u00f3ttir is the 2019 Mountain Queen of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Katla Sif is an equestrian from the S\u00f6rli Riding Club and was recognised at the club's last annual general meeting for the best achievement in the children's and junior categories last year. This year, Katla was selected for the Icelandic national team to compete at the World Championship of the Icelandic Horse, which will be held in Berlin this summer. It was deemed appropriate that the Healthy City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur should have a strong sportswoman deliver the 2019 speech of the Valkyrie, which this year was written by Eygl\u00f3 J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir. Katla Sif is a student at Flensborg School and Eygl\u00f3 J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, the author of the poem, is a teacher at the school. <\/p>\n
