The artwork now adorns one of the school's largest walls. To mark the occasion, it was also deemed appropriate for the school's pupils to be greeted in the morning by a new and improved play area on the school grounds. Since then, the school has been extended four times.<br \/>\nThe architects Bj\u00f6rn Hall and J\u00f3n \u00de\u00f3r \u00deorvaldsson designed the school, but a sign<br \/>\nThe school's is designed by Sigur\u00f0ur Einarsson, architect. The three stripes in the logo<br \/>\nrepresent the foundation upon which the children are built. The school playground is very fun with<br \/>\nplaygrounds and greenery, and the stream that winds through it has always had a great deal<br \/>\nattraction. Stekkjarhraun is on the other side of the stream with all those<br \/>\npossibilities that it offers for games and outdoor teaching. Since 1993, the school has had<br \/>\nThere is a great deal of communication with the nursery schools in the neighbourhood and there is good cooperation between them.<br \/>\nthe school stages. In 1997, the school received a development grant to increase collaboration between the play-<br \/>\nand primary school.
