At the meeting of the Planning and Building Committee on 26 June 2018, the following resolution was passed: A planning statement for an amendment to the 2013\u20132025 master plan for Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, covering an area bounded by Reykjav\u00edkurvegur, Fjar\u00f0ar\u00e1hraun and Flatahraun, was approved by the town council on 23 May. 2018 and in the Planning and Building Committee on 30 April 2018, has been sent to the Planning Authority for comment. The Planning Authority's comment has been submitted along with an amended planning statement. When work on a proposal for an amendment to the general plan begins, the local council shall prepare a description of the planning project which sets out the council's planning objectives and information on the underlying assumptions, pending policies and the proposed planning process, such as public consultation and engagement with residents of the municipality and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n Please note \u2013 the original consultation period for the proposal has been extended. The proposal will be on display at the Environment and Planning Department of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Municipality at Nor\u00f0urhellu 2 until 23 September 2019. It can also be viewed below. <\/p>\n
The Planning and Building Committee agrees to send the submitted description for publication. The procedure shall be in accordance with Section 36 of the Planning Act No. 123\/2010.<\/em><\/p>\n
