The formal school year for pupils in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's primary schools begins on Thursday, 22nd August. Just over 4,000 children will be starting school this autumn, of whom around 350 are beginning in Year 1. Starting primary school is a big step in every child's life, and at such a milestone, the partnership between home and school is extremely important.<\/p>\n
It is a new initiative in the primary schools of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur that all pupils receive

The Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur provides primary school pupils with educational materials free of charge. Schools have therefore purchased stationery that pupils need for their schoolwork.
