<\/p>\nRepresentatives of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur town council competed against the residents of Hrafnista in the annual putting competition held today. The travelling trophy was at stake, and the residents of Hrafnista defeated the town councillors, just as in previous years.<\/p>\n
A fun tradition has developed in recent years of holding a putting competition at Hrafnista in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur town council and the mayor have competed against the residents for a handsome travelling trophy. As has often been the case, the Hrafnista team emerged victorious today with 103 strokes, compared to the town council's 109, and the margin between the teams has rarely been so small. Mayor R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir came first in the women's category, and this year it was none other than Councillor Gu\u00f0laug Kristj\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir who received the Skussaver\u00f0launin for the best use of the course. They received their awards from the tournament director, Helena Bj\u00f6rk J\u00f3nasd\u00f3ttir.<\/p>\n

The Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Town Council thanks the residents and staff at Hrafnista for a spirited competition and a pleasant time in the beautiful surroundings of Hrafnista.<\/p>\n
