As before, the Christmas Village is looking for individuals, organisations and businesses to sell quality products at a good price, offering a diverse range of goods with a promise of life and Christmas cheer at their stall.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Christmas Village will feature around 20 decorated chalets, each measuring 5.8 m\u00b2. The sales units in the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Christmas Village have been very popular in recent years, and applications are therefore selected based on a number of specific criteria. This year, the Christmas Village opens on Friday, 29th November, and will then be open from 17:00 to 20:00. It will then be open throughout Advent on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00, and until 22:00 on Christmas Eve. The rental fee for the sales hut is kr. 15,000 for the weekend. Included in the rental fee is all the cost of setting up and running the hut, and cleaning of the area. In addition, the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will promote the Christmas Village through various means, such as radio, screen and newspaper advertisements, and attract visitors with an entertainment programme.<\/p>\n<p>Sellers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding the goods for sale. If a product or product category is in any way restricted or subject to the granting of a licence, the seller must make themselves aware of this and obtain the relevant licences. This applies, for example, to the sale of food, drink, alcoholic beverages and other products that may be subject to regulation. Sellers are also encouraged to check whether and what insurance may be appropriate, where applicable. The placement of Christmas houses is determined by the overall appearance of the village and what best suits that purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants must submit applications by 15 October 2019. <a href=\"\/en\/jolathorp\/\">www.hafnarfjordur.is\/jolathorp<\/a> but after that, applications are placed on a waiting list.
