At the meeting of the Environment and Operations Committee on 27 February 2019, it was approved to present a proposal for a fitness trail and a public play area for younger children at \u00c1svallalaug.\u00a0 Comments were received, and it was pointed out, among other things, that a fitness trail would be on the new school grounds of Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li.<\/p>\n
At the Education Committee meeting on 10 May, it was proposed that the pitch be moved to H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir, as that location is central and provides good access to the pitch.<\/p>\n
At the meeting of the Environment and Operations Committee on 22 May, a reassessment of the previous location was requested, and the matter was finally taken up at the Planning and Building Committee on 2 July, where it was agreed to locate the pitch at H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir. At the meeting of the Environment and Operations Committee on 14 August, the Environment and Planning Service was tasked with finalising the location and presenting it to neighbours.<\/p>\n
The attached aerial photograph shows the new location at H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir; the pitch is 30 x 12 m in size. Further information about the fitness pitches can be found at www.skolahreysti.is<\/a> <\/p>\n The proposal is being presented to the owners of houses at 15-29 Tjarnarbraut, along with L\u00e6kjarsk\u00f3li, the nursery school at H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir, and L\u00e6kur at H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir 1.
