Your participation!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During the 2019-2020 academic year, a new education strategy for Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will be developed. A steering group, composed of councillors and staff from the Education and Public Health Department of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, is working on it.\u00a0 In developing the strategy, stakeholders and others are invited to provide comments and ideas. All interested parties have shared their ideas and suggestions through  <a href=\"https:\/\/betri-hafnarfjordur.betraisland.is\/group\/2228\/open\">A Better Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Growing, maturing and learning in a constantly changing society<\/h4>\n<p>The Education and Public Health Department organised a meeting on the development of an education strategy for Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur at V\u00ed\u00f0ista\u00f0ask\u00f3li and Hraunvallask\u00f3li with staff from the town's nursery and primary schools, along with other interested and relevant parties. These meetings launched the first phase of work on the strategy, where ideas for its creation were presented. The strategy is intended for pupils in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur up to the age of 18 and is being developed for the next 10 years. Krist\u00edn Thoroddsen, Chair of the Education Committee, presented the work that is underway on the development of the education strategy and the importance of the strategy being shaped in consultation with all those involved in school life in one way or another, whether they are pupils, teachers, parents or other stakeholders. Associate Professor Gylfi Dalmann A\u00f0alsteinsson gave a talk on strategy development entitled \u201eFormulating and Implementing an Education Strategy\u201d, and Fanney D\u00f3r\u00f3the Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, Director of Education- and Public Health Department of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur municipality spoke about the key areas of the education policy and the content of education, and how the education policy should ensure that children have the opportunity to grow, develop and learn in an ever-changing society.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Suggestions via Better Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/h4>\n<p>Through the communication platform \u201e <a href=\"https:\/\/betri-hafnarfjordur.betraisland.is\/group\/2228\/open\">A Better Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/a> \u201cAll stakeholders will have the opportunity to submit ideas and suggestions on the development of the education strategy.
