In the coming days, the contractor will install signage on the Strandgata bridge, shift traffic to the north side, and close the slip road to Strandgata. A diversion will be via the Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurgatnam\u00f3t\/Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurveg.<\/p>\n<p>This is due to planned works\/excavations east of the Strandgata Bridge, where the Reykjanesbraut will need to be temporarily narrowed to accommodate a retaining wall. The exact timing of the closure is not yet available, but it is estimated that it will take around 2-3 weeks to complete the work in this area so that the slip road to Strandgata can be reopened.
