In this episode, Sigurj\u00f3n discusses<br \/>\nOlafsson, Director of the Service and Development Department, with \u00c6gir \u00d6rn Sigurgeirsson, Head of the Support Department for Asylum Seekers and Refugees in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. \u00c6gir gives listeners an insight into his own<br \/>\nhistory and background and discusses the projects that he and his colleagues<br \/>\ndeal with on a daily basis and focus on the issues of refugees and asylum seekers.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can listen to the programme.  <a href=\"\/en\/province\/hafnarfjordur\/hladvarp\/\" class=\"internal\">Here<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>With<br \/>\nUnder agreements with the Immigration Service, the municipality has taken on services on<br \/>\namong others, that group of individuals and families awaiting their cases to be resolved<br \/>\nto process applications here in the country, alongside providing all appropriate services to those refugee families<br \/>\nwho have settled in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The service includes, among other things, ensuring the individual's<br \/>\nfood and accommodation, social services, healthcare services and interpreting services and is in<br \/>\nIn this context, special attention is paid to services for the children. At the same time, he contemplates<br \/>\nthe municipality leads, a platform and opportunities for individuals and<br \/>\nthe families to get to know the residents and local conditions in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and that<br \/>\nservices and leisure activities available in the local community, such as a library and<br \/>\nswimming pools.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interviews with interesting people<br \/>\nindividuals who work for the benefit of the municipality<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In The Lighthouse, interesting individuals who work are interviewed.<br \/>\nfor the benefit of the town.
