In this episode, \u00c1rd\u00eds \u00c1rmannsd\u00f3ttir, Communications Manager for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, chats with Fanney D. Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, Director of the Education and Public Health Department for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Fanney has worked in the field of education for many years, first in the South-West and now as the Director of Education for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. She has been involved in numerous projects within the school community and has a rich and interesting perspective on the work of schools as a whole.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/province\/hafnarfjordur\/hladvarp\/\">Episode #7: Fanney D. Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, Director of the Directorate of Education and Public Health<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the hot seat this time is Fanney D. Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, Director of the Education and Public Health Department for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, or Fanney the Education Director as she is commonly known. According to her, Fanney is a small, dark-haired, smart and quick-witted 45-year-old Icelandic country girl, who was brought up in the South-West of Iceland and still lives there today. In this episode, she talks about, among other things, the love and affection that lies in her name and her main passion, which is education and parenting. Fanney joined the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in the summer of 2016 and has since worked tirelessly to implement inspiring, creative and interesting projects in close collaboration with all her wonderful colleagues, projects which all share the common goal of strengthening the school community in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/province\/hafnarfjordur\/hladvarp\/\">Listen to the programme<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Interviews with interesting individuals who work for the municipality.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Vitanum, interesting individuals who work for the benefit of the town are interviewed.
