R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, celebrated the milestone with a visit to St\u00falka Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir and presented her and her family with fine art from Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and gifts reflecting the municipality's priorities, including environmental issues, literacy, health promotion and happiness. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/30000-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"30000\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 2048px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 2048\/1100;\"><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The 30,000th resident of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is a little girl born on 15th October, daughter of Helga R\u00fan Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir and Sigur\u00f0ur Fannar Gr\u00e9tarsson. The couple already have a five-year-old son and bought their first flat in the south town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur about a year ago. Helga R\u00fan was born and raised in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, but Sigur\u00f0ur is from \u00cdsafj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Little Miss Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir received a certificate and an artwork from her town to mark her as the 30,000th resident. Her big brother received a beautiful book as a gift, and the presents for his little sister included eco-friendly items: a washcloth, a towel and her first toothbrush. Together, the family received the book 'R\u00f3' by Eva R\u00fan \u00deorgeirsd\u00f3ttir and Bergr\u00fan \u00cdris, which contains simple exercises for children and adults to induce relaxation and inner calm.
