Decisions about next steps and website development are based on usage information. As such, visits to the website are analysed, the number of visitors is examined, and information is gathered about where visitors come from, and about any feedback received, which content is most read and least viewed, and also what information visitors are most likely to search for using the search box. All this information is used to make the website more accessible and interesting, based on needs and usage. The data are continuously updated and are drawn from the Google Analytics web analytics tool.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How did the news that went on air at<br \/>\nLast week, was it read at all?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Has anyone looked at the events in<br \/>\nday?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Is this just people from Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur browsing the web?&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>What are users searching for and what words do they use?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Few examples of this are a local authority, an institution<br \/>\nor companies open their data in this way. The Stj\u00f3rnarr\u00e1\u00f0i\u00f0 website is one of the few<br \/>\nan example that has opened up its web analytics. The aim of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in opening up this valuable data is to provide a degree of oversight of its own operations and to make residents and other stakeholders more aware of the importance of the web for the city's activities.
