A selection committee selects five projects from the submitted nominations and chooses the winning project. Part of the selection process is a public vote, and everyone is welcome to take part and support specific projects. Staff, residents and friends of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur thus have the opportunity to support this fantastic development project from Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur by voting, where every vote counts.<\/p>\n<p>The election takes place here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/essa-eu.org\/vote\/\">https:\/\/essa-eu.org\/vote\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The bridge is nominated in category three \u2013 Collaborative Practice Award Nominees \u2013 and is project number 1 on the list. Voting takes place further down the page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>About BR\u00daNA<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Since the autumn of 2018, the Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has operated BR\u00daNA, a new procedure for services to children in the municipality's nursery and primary schools. The aim is to improve the quality of life for children, adolescents and their families. The emphasis is on providing increased support at an earlier stage. Collaboration between the Family and Child Affairs Department and the Education and Public Health Department of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has been strengthened.<\/p>\n<h4>Problem-solving team within nursery and primary schools<\/h4>\n<p>Increased support is provided through the solution teams of the nursery and primary schools. The solution teams consist of school-based professionals, along with advisers from the family service, psychologists and\/or a special education representative from the education and leisure services. The role of the solution team is to assess the child's situation and seek joint solutions to support the child and their family. In a solution team, a child's learning, behaviour, development and\/or well-being is discussed with the parents' consent, and appropriate resources are mobilised to intervene earlier in the child's difficulties or circumstances.\u00a0Schools in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are participating in the development of this new working method, which will later be implemented in all the town's nurseries and primary schools.&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00der\u00f3unarverkefni\u00f0 BR\u00daIN hefur veri\u00f0 tilnefnt til ver\u00f0launa af European Social Services Awards (ESSA) \u00ed flokki &#8222;samvinnu&#8220; (Collaborative Practice Award Nominees).
