These days, a Christmas magazine featuring the Christmas town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is being delivered through letterboxes to all homes in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and to friends of the town across the greater capital area, the South West and the South Coast.\u00a0 The Christmas magazine is intended to introduce the Christmas town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur to its residents and friends. The magazine contains information about unique places, the town's unique character, its people, delicious recipes and entertainment programme, as well as an Advent greeting from the Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, encouraging the residents of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and its friends to enjoy the Advent season and spend time with family and friends. <\/p>\n

We, the people of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, have managed to create a cosy atmosphere in our town in the run-up to Christmas over the past few years; where gentle Christmas lights, sweet tunes, tempting food, beautiful products and a flourishing culture put their mark on the Christmas town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The Christmas village in the heart of the town centre attracts an ever-increasing number of visitors, as the atmosphere is friendly and unique.<\/em><\/p>\n

In my opinion, the best way to prepare for Christmas is to take the time to enjoy these delights in a relaxed atmosphere, strolling between restaurants, cultural institutions and charming shops, and experiencing the fun in the Christmas village with the family, meet friends and acquaintances and capture that sweet Christmas spirit, away from the hustle and bustle.<\/em><\/p>\n

This year, more than ever, emphasis will be placed on a good atmosphere during Advent; the Christmas Village is growing and expanding, the number of fun events is increasing through collaboration between the town and private parties, and the diverse range of shops and restaurants has been further enhanced. We in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are particularly proud of the designer shops that have established themselves in our town and attract large numbers of people. Not to mention the town's cultural institutions, which consistently offer a highly ambitious programme, and the attractive caf\u00e9s and restaurants where it's always lovely to sit down.<\/em><\/p>\n
