{"id":14056,"date":"2019-12-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-12-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/serstakur-husnaedisstudningur-fyrir-leigjendur-i-felagslegu-husnaedi\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:02:26","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:02:26","slug":"special-housing-support-for-tenants-in-social-housing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/serstakur-husnaedisstudningur-fyrir-leigjendur-i-felagslegu-husnaedi\/","title":{"rendered":"Specific housing support for tenants in social housing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>In a meeting  <a href=\"\/en\/province\/meeting-minutes\/displaymeeting.aspx\/?id=1909021F\" class=\"internal\">of the Family Board on 14th October<\/a> . was taken<br \/>\nDecision to amend the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's regulations on special housing support, which came into effect on 17 October 2017.<br \/>\nA provision that no special support is paid in social<br \/>\nthe council's rental properties and tenants are now permitted to apply for a special<br \/>\nsupport.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Tenants of social housing in the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur can now<br \/>\napplied for special support for rent, and this support is in addition<br \/>\nthe general support provided by the state. All those tenants in social<br \/>\nHousing in the municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur that currently receive general housing benefits from the state can<br \/>\nNow you can apply for special housing support from your local authority. A calculator for general housing benefit can be found on the website of the Housing Finance Institute. Special housing support can amount to up to 90% of the general housing benefit. The total amount (general housing benefit and special housing support) cannot exceed kr 82,000 per month. Housing benefits and<br \/>\nspecific housing support can never exceed 75% of housing costs and<br \/>\nNo separate housing support is paid when housing costs, less<br \/>\nThe housing benefit is 50,000 kr. or less.
