The acronym FLY stands for Fly Literacy Years and the project is supported by the Children's Cultural Fund and The Animation Workshop\/VIA UC in Denmark.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The origins of the FLY project can be traced back to Denmark, but the project has far-reaching tentacles and is now establishing itself in Iceland. The development of a collaborative network of teachers has begun.<br \/>\nin Iceland related to an international network of teachers with the aim of sharing<br \/>\nmethods that utilise short-form and animation as tools and methodology in<br \/>\nteaching. <\/p>\n<h4>Workshop with Martin Spenner from Lommefilm&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>Students in<br \/>\n7. AMT gave a truly warm welcome to Martin Spenner from Denmark, who was in charge of teaching and running a workshop for the group. Martin began the day by<br \/>\nshow a short film that his colleague had helped children in Bolivia to make. The day was then spent on teaching, and the students' result was a short film where the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child was the guiding principle. It was a resounding success. Martin, their mentor, was delighted with the result and amazed at how well<br \/>\nThe children managed to grasp such a complex subject as the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, and in English at that. Martin said goodbye to L\u00e6kjarsk\u00f3li.<br \/>\nsatisfied and wanted to use the day's produce for a display in a similar manner<br \/>\nworkshops in distant countries.
