At the age of ten, she moved full of anticipation to the north-west, into a house her parents built themselves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/province\/hafnarfjordur\/hladvarp\/\">Listen to the programme&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In Vitan's interview with R\u00f3sa, a wide range of topics was covered. They discussed growing up in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, her schooling, her interest in antiques, her first property purchase, her time in the United States, and her interests in publishing, printing, cooking and all kinds of gardening. A difficult period in her family's history due to the loss of a child is also touched upon, as is her work on behalf of children with cancer. R\u00f3sa's career is varied, with a strong focus on media and publishing before politics came knocking. We discuss that career and, of course, her work on the town council, first in the opposition, later in the majority, and finally as mayor since 2018.
