{"id":14142,"date":"2020-02-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-02-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/setningarhatid-lifshlaupsins-2020-i-skardshlidarskola\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:02:42","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:02:42","slug":"the-2020-lifshlaupsins-installation-festival-at-skardshlidar-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/setningarhatid-lifshlaupsins-2020-i-skardshlidarskola\/","title":{"rendered":"The Lifshlaupi\u00f0 2020 kick-off event at Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/lifshlaupid.is\/\">The Life Course launch event of the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association<\/a> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inauguration ceremony<br \/>\nThe Life Course took place this morning at Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li.<br \/>\nin Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/li>\n<li>Ingibj\u00f6rg<br \/>\nMagn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir, headmistress, R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and \u00der\u00e1inn<br \/>\nHafsteinsson, chairman of the Public Sports Department of the Icelandic Sports Confederation, addressed the guests. <\/li>\n<li>Hekla Sif<br \/>\n\u00d3\u00f0insd\u00f3ttir, a Year 8 pupil, sang a song and the Year 8 pupils performed.<br \/>\nUnexpected dance routine. <\/li>\n<li>Ana and Viktor, PE teachers<br \/>\nmanaged an obstacle course in which speakers, the headmistress and pupils took part, and it was tremendous<br \/>\nGood. Especially when Blossi, the ISI mascot, turned up. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There was great joy at Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li.<br \/>\nthis morning when the Life's Relay was launched for the thirteenth time. Ingibj\u00f6rg Magn\u00fasd\u00f3ttir<br \/>\nThe headmistress welcomed the guests. R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, the mayor, and \u00der\u00e1inn Hafsteinsson,<br \/>\nThe chairman of the ISI's Department of Mass Sports then addressed the guests before they competed in<br \/>\nfun challenges which Ana and Viktor, the school's PE teachers, ran with great<br \/>\nBrilliant. Blossi, the ISI mascot, turned up to everyone's great delight. When<br \/>\nWhen the programme finished, the students and teachers hurried outside and ran their mile.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/li-ufshlaup-2020-102-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"Li-ufshlaup-2020-102\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 2048px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 2048\/1366;\"><\/p>\n<h4>Daily Mile Run<\/h4>\n<p>Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li has been going out and running, walking or<br \/>\nRun one mile daily. The project is modelled on a Scottish initiative and is called \u201eThe<br \/>\n\u201cThe Daily Mile\" and Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li is the first school in Iceland to take part in<br \/>\nthis international project, and it is safe to say that there is great satisfaction with the participation. Sports-<br \/>\nand the Olympic Association of Iceland encourages the country's schools to adopt this excellent<br \/>\nproject, as it is considered extremely simple to implement. It is ideal to then record the movement.<br \/>\nin the Lifshlaupi\u00f0. <\/p>\n<h4>Health and incentive projects<\/h4>\n<p>The Lifelapse is a health and<br \/>\nAn initiative by the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association that appeals to everyone.<br \/>\nof the nation with the aim of encouraging the nation to make exercise a<br \/>\na fixture in their life, whether in their leisure time, at work, at school or<br \/>\nwhen choosing a mode of transport. The Lifecycle is a good platform for those who<br \/>\nwant to start moving or are<br \/>\nalready exercising regularly and wanting to log their activity systematically, have an overview and<br \/>\nset goals.
