She is studying for a master's degree in multiculturalism, multiculturalism, global connections and migration, and works as an educational consultant for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where she provides advisory services on multicultural matters in close collaboration with the municipality's nursery and primary schools and other stakeholders. Kristr\u00fan is a true Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur native (though not born there) and wouldn't live anywhere else. She spent her teenage years typing out idioms and proverbs and pondering their origins and history, as her interest in the Icelandic language was great from a very young age.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Passionate about equality, human rights and social justice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kristr\u00fan is a great idealist who has always considered it important to live in accordance with and work towards her ideals, and she is passionate about equality, human rights and social justice. She taught at L\u00e6kjarsk\u00f3li for 20 years and was involved in the development and establishment of a reception department for students of foreign origin. Through her work, she has witnessed the significant growth in the number of international students within the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur school community and has actively participated in developing new methods, solutions and programmes for this group of students to ensure their needs are met. In the chat, Kristr\u00fan tells us how her interest in multiculturalism was sparked and how she herself began to read up and find ways to better welcome the growing number of foreign children and young people. With the increase in numbers, the resource has moved from being a reception unit in one school to a system where all schools can safely welcome new international students. One of the major development projects currently underway for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is the implementation of a placement assessment for new students of foreign origin, and Kristr\u00fan is managing the implementation on behalf of the municipality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Interviews with interesting individuals who work for the municipality.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In Vitanum, interesting individuals who work for the benefit of the town are interviewed.
