In the judging panel's reasoning for the exhibition, it says: \u201eExciting<br \/>\nand an original show with an impressive opening concert. Here, the focus was on interplay.<br \/>\nmusic and space and Jennifer Torrence's performance of the work <em>Nine bells<\/em><br \/>\nby Tom Johnson was particularly well-succeeded.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition celebrated its fifth anniversary<br \/>\nThe anniversary of the eponymous concert series, which has been on the programme at Hafnarborg.<br \/>\nall from the year 2013 and dedicated to contemporary music. At the opening of the exhibition<br \/>\nmoved <strong>Jennifer Torrence<\/strong> the work <em>Nine bells<\/em>, as mentioned in<br \/>\nthe reasoning of the judging panel, but the performance of the work at the Hlj\u00f3\u00f0ana concerts in the autumn<br \/>\n2016 (then performed by Frank Aarnink) was in fact the spark for the exhibition itself,<br \/>\nwhere music and visual art met in the timeless space of the museum.<\/p>\n<p>The artists who had works on<br \/>\nThe exhibition was <strong>\u00c1sta \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>Stone<\/strong>, <strong>Steinunn Eldflaug Har\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>Logi Le\u00f3 Gunnarsson<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>J\u00f3n Gunnar \u00c1rnason<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>James Saunders<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>Bergr\u00fan Sn\u00e6bj\u00f6rnsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>Magn\u00fas P\u00e1lsson,<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Tom Johnson<\/strong>,<strong> Curver Thoroddsen<\/strong> and <strong>Einar Torfi Einarsson<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe curator was <strong>Thr\u00e1in Hj\u00e1lmarsson<\/strong>, composer and artistic director<br \/>\nof the Hlj\u00f3\u00f0ana concert series.<\/p>\n<p>\u00cd<br \/>\nIn connection with the exhibition, a splendid programme was also offered, including concerts.,<br \/>\nother music-related events and performances, with a number of domestic and international<br \/>\nartists and musicians, such as <strong>Harald<br \/>\nJohnsson<\/strong>, <strong>Love<br \/>\nFanney Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir<\/strong>, <strong>Marko<br \/>\nCiciliani<\/strong>, <strong>Barbara<br \/>\nL\u00fcneburg<\/strong>, <strong>Sharpness<\/strong>,<br \/>\n<strong>Berglindi M. T\u00f3masd\u00f3ttur<\/strong><br \/>\nand others.
