{"id":14199,"date":"2020-03-10T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/styrkir-til-uppbyggingar-innvida-a-ferdamannastodum\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:02:55","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:02:55","slug":"grants-for-the-development-of-visitor-facilities-at-tourist-sites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/styrkir-til-uppbyggingar-innvida-a-ferdamannastodum\/","title":{"rendered":"Grants for infrastructure development at tourist sites"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Grants for development at Lei\u00f0arendi and Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurbjarg<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ministers for Tourism, Industry and Innovation and<br \/>\nThe Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources yesterday announced the allocation of funds to<br \/>\ninfrastructure development, nature conservation and other projects at tourist sites in the year<br \/>\n2020.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ferdamalastofa.is\/is\/um-ferdamalastofu\/frettir\/category\/1\/15-milljardi-veitt-til-innvida-og-natturuverndar-a-ferdamannastodum\">A total of just over 1.5 billion kr\u00f3nur is allocated.<\/a>  from the National Plan on<br \/>\ninfrastructure development and the Visitor Site Implementation Fund which enables<br \/>\nto continue the important task of building infrastructure at tourist sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Development Fund for Tourist Destinations<br \/>\n\u2013 End of road<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Visitor Attraction Development Fund provides grants to 33<br \/>\nprojects across the country in 2020 amounting to a total of 501.5 million kr\u00f3nur. Total<br \/>\nThe fund received 134 applications this time with grant requests totalling 2.3<br \/>\nbillion. The Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur receives an allocation of kr. 5,760,000 to carry out<br \/>\ndevelopment of a car park at Lei\u00f0arendi in accordance with the local plan. The site is<br \/>\nLocated in a disturbed area on the verge of the Bluefjallavegur. The sites need to be filled in and levelled.<br \/>\nand incorporate crushed stone. The project is considered to align well with the fund's main focus areas regarding<br \/>\nnature conservation, safety and infrastructure development at a sensitive tourist site.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Project plan<br \/>\nNational Plan 2020-2022. Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edk Cliff<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A contribution of around three billion to three is anticipated.<br \/>\nyear, which runs to the project plan of the National Infrastructure Development Plan which<br \/>\nvalid for the years 2020-2022.
