The permit covers caravan trailers, folding caravans, caravans, motorhomes and other such recreational vehicles used during the summer, which are difficult to accommodate within the school grounds without causing obstruction or inconvenience to others. The permit is valid while the municipality's primary schools are closed.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Please be advised that there is no security or CCTV on the premises, and all equipment and gear remain entirely at the owners' own risk.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em><strong>This offer from the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is valid until and including Sunday, 9th August 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As previously stated, this offer applies only to equipment in active use and not to numberless vehicles and equipment\/gear that require year-round storage. Equipment, trailers and vehicles without number plates are removed at the owner's expense. By Sunday, 9th August at the latest, all equipment and equipment must have been removed from all Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur municipal primary school grounds.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/media\/stefnur-og-reglur\/logreglusamthykkt_aa_samthykkt_i_baejarstjorn_17aa_desember_2010.pdf\/\">Police By-law for the Borough of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Regarding vehicles and traffic, the Police Ordinance of the Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur states that: \u201c\u2026 on public roads, nothing may be placed or set down that obstructs traffic. It is forbidden to park vehicles on pavements, open spaces, undeveloped plots of land and paths. The parking of trailers and caravans, such as horseboxes, caravans, trailers, trailers for boats and similar equipment, as well as motorhomes deemed to cause inconvenience, unsanitary conditions or a hazard, is prohibited on streets and public car parks. The Environmental and Planning Service is authorised, following prior warning, e.g. by means of a sticker with a warning message, to remove and impound vehicles that contravene paragraphs 1\u20135 of the Municipal Police Ordinance, vehicles left without number plates on land adjacent to public thoroughfares, streets and public car parks, and vehicles left abandoned in open areas.
