A new tennis club, TFH, has been established in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, whereas previously the town's tennis activities were run by the tennis section of BH. The club has 140 registered members, of whom 114
\nadults and 26 children. <\/p>\n
There has been little to no provision for tennis players.
\nin Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in recent years, and have therefore members sought out K\u00f3pavogur or
\nReykjav\u00edk to play tennis. However, school tennis has been offered for
\n6-9 year olds with a good response, but this is about tennis training at the same time as
\nThe children are in after-school care. Last school year, however, that activity only took place in
\nHraunvallaschool, but it is planned to offer tennis training in more schools.

TFH does not aim
\nis solely focused on increasing the number of winter training sessions in school tennis next autumn, however
\nalso to get the outdoor pitches at V\u00ed\u00f0ista\u00f0at\u00fan into good condition so that it will be possible
\nto offer Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur children summer tennis school again within its municipality and
\nto offer all interested people the chance to play tennis on proper tennis courts. <\/p>\n
The club is pleased that the tennis net has been replaced and new lines painted on the courts.
