In just a few years, the festival has established itself in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and has become part of the summer programme for both the town's residents and its visitors. <\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Mayor R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir dedicated a flower-adorned heart in the heart of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur on Strandgata, with the material for the decoration provided by the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Forestry Association.<\/p>\n<p>The heart is also a bench for visitors in the town centre to sit on, and it is an ideal spot for taking a photo with a beautiful background, facing towards Vesturgata or looking down Strandgata. We encourage visitors to head into the city centre for a photo opportunity, snap a picture and post it under the hashtag #hjartahafnarfjar\u00f0ar<\/p>\n<p>The Strandgata will be lively this summer. In addition to the heart, a zebra crossing has been painted in rainbow colours. This was done at the initiative of the young people at the Vinnusk\u00f3linn, who also painted some pavement posts in bright, summery colours by Hafnarborg. In addition, a \u201cThank You' wall was recently painted on the gable end of the house at 4 Strandgata, and it is visible to everyone passing along Strandgata and Reykjav\u00edkurvegur.<\/p>\n<p>There is therefore every reason to visit the centre of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur this summer and explore the colourful and vibrant Strandgata, where music, culture, dining and shopping flourish.<\/p>\n<p>This year's \u201cHeart of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur' programme is as splendid as ever, featuring some of the biggest names in Icelandic pop music of recent decades. The festival has become an integral part of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's summer programme in recent years and is greatly enjoyed by both residents and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, the town mayor, unveiled a heart of blooms in the town centre of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur on Strandgata. The flowers used in the heart were provided by the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Forestry Association (Sk\u00f3gr\u00e6ktarf\u00e9lag Hafnarfjar\u00f0ar).<\/p>\n<p>The heart is also a bench where visitors in the town centre can sit and is a great opportunity to take pictures with a beautiful background towards Vesturgata or along Strandgata. In addition to the heart, a walkway has been painted in the colours of the rainbow, a project carried out at the initiative of the young people working in the Work School (Vinnusk\u00f3linn). They also painted several pavement bollards near Hafnarborg in bright, summery colours. In addition, a \u201cThank you (Takk)\u201d wall was painted on the end wall of the building at Strandgata 4.
