The photography exhibition '30 Co-operative Houses in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur' is currently on display on the site where the Kaupf\u00e9lag Hafnfir\u00f0inga once stood \u2013 between the Fjar\u00f0ar and Penninn shopping centres. The photographs on display are mainly of the buildings where co-operative activities have taken place, but the exhibition also tells the story of co-operation in the town. <\/p>\n
The trade union Hl\u00edf was an important player in this activity and is therefore prominently featured in the exhibition, having supported its installation. Furthermore, the exhibition received a cultural grant from the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in October 2019. Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Museum of Local History<\/a> provided the exhibition's organisers with some of the photographs that adorn the show. The exhibition will be open until the end of September and admission is free.
