The exhibition <em>The wild flower<br \/>\n<\/em>which is currently on display in the museum was selected from remarkable proposals that<br \/>\nwere submitted last year. The deadline for submitting proposals is midnight on Sunday. <strong>25 October 2020<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of requesting submissions<br \/>\nThe proposals are to have the opportunity to select a curator who puts forward<br \/>\nto put forward an interesting proposal for a show, but also to bring new people into the mix.<br \/>\nThus, special consideration is given to providing opportunities for curators with<br \/>\na short career behind it. It has proven that there is every reason to continue.<br \/>\nsuch a project, but from it, diverse and interesting have emerged<br \/>\nshows that have attracted attention and been well attended.<\/p>\n<h4>Ideas for exhibitions are requested.<\/h4>\n<p>Ideas are sought for exhibitions where<br \/>\nsubject matter, working method or other ideas connect the works of artists but also<br \/>\nConsider exhibitions that involve an analysis or insight into the work of a particular artist.<br \/>\nartist. Exhibitions of works by contemporary artists are equally considered and<br \/>\npresentations that involve historical analysis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>The autumn series began in 2011.<\/h4>\n<p>In 2011, the autumn exhibition series began with the exhibition<br \/>\n<em>For now<\/em> which was processed<br \/>\nwas by the anthropologist \u00d3l\u00f6f Ger\u00f0ur Sigf\u00fasd\u00f3ttir, in 2012 the exhibition was set up <em>Ski Area<\/em> in curation<br \/>\nGu\u00f0ni T\u00f3masson, art historian. Anna Mar\u00eda Bogad\u00f3ttir<br \/>\nA cultural anthropologist and architect curated the exhibition. <em>Points \u2013 the houses in the house<\/em><br \/>\nin 2013 and 2014 the idea of Helga \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, a cultural studies scholar, and<br \/>\nof an artist, to the exhibition <em>Channel<\/em><br \/>\nchosen from interesting proposals. In the autumn of 2015, it was the art historians<br \/>\nA\u00f0alhei\u00f0ur Valgeirsd\u00f3ttir and Ald\u00eds Arnard\u00f3ttir with the exhibition <em>The world without us. <\/em>In the year 2016,<br \/>\nwas the proposal from the design duo TOS, which is composed of Hildur<br \/>\nStein\u00fe\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir and R\u00fanu Thors, with the exhibition <em>Attempt<br \/>\n\u2013 clay and more<\/em>, in 2017 the exhibition was <em>Painting \u2013 not a medium <\/em>set up under<br \/>\nCurated by J\u00f3hannes Dagsson, 2018 exhibition <em>All weathers<\/em> as Marta Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur<br \/>\nP\u00e9tursd\u00f3ttir curated and in 2019 the exhibition concept was Andrea's.<br \/>\nArnarsdottir and Starkadur Sigurdarson for the selection which bore the title <em>Everything at the same time<\/em>. This year is<br \/>\nthat exhibition <em>The wild flower<\/em><br \/>\nwhich was chosen from a selection of submitted ideas, the exhibition features artists from<br \/>\nIceland and Canada to space for mergers of environmental activism, diverse<br \/>\necosystems, feminism and craft within contemporary art. The exhibition is on display.<br \/>\nuntil 25 October.<\/p>\n<h4>Hafnarborg wants to create a fertile ground for interesting ideas.<\/h4>\n<p>With the autumn exhibition series, Hafnarborg aims to create a platform.<br \/>\nfor interesting ideas so that the collection will become a platform where art<br \/>\ncan be enjoyed, shaped by diverse perspectives and themes.
