\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has charmed the nation as well as the tourists who have found their way there. Beautifully
\nThe decorated Christmas houses of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur have long since become nationally known for their variety.
\nExciting gifts, gourmet food, crafts and design. The Christmas village will be open
\nevery weekend during Advent from 1 pm to 6 pm, and the atmosphere this year will be exceptionally cosy
\ncosy yet at the same time unassuming. In light of the circumstances and restrictions, there will be no organised programme by the Christmas village this Advent. <\/p>\n

The lights on the Cuxhaven Christmas tree were switched on in the Christmas Village in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur this morning, in the presence of nursery school children and staff from Hjalli, R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, the Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Christian Stepper, Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Iceland, and G\u00edsli Valdimarsson, Chairman of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur-Cuxhaven Twinning Association.<\/sup><\/p>\n The Christmas Village will be open every weekend during Advent from 1 pm to 6 pm, and this year's atmosphere will be exceptionally warm and cosy, yet understated. \nrestaurants near the village. Santa's helpers come to visit on Saturdays and
\nGr\u00fdla will be wandering around town on Sundays to check if everyone is
\nnot observing social distancing, wearing face masks and diligent about sanitising and
