\u00cdvar Bragason has been appointed as the legal counsel for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. \u00cdvar has extensive knowledge of municipal affairs and has worked as a lawyer within the administration of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur since the beginning of 2017. Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Kristinsd\u00f3ttir, former Director of the Directorate of Administration and Town Solicitor, took up the position of Sheriff of the Capital Region in January 2021.<\/p>\n
Ivar completed his Master of Laws (mag. jur.) degree from the University of Iceland in 2008 and was admitted as a district court lawyer the same year.
