The Year 10 class of \u00c1slandsk\u00f3li emerged victorious in this year's Fj\u00e1rm\u00e1laleikir (Financial Games) by Fj\u00e1rm\u00e1lavit, receiving 150,000 kr\u00f3na in prize money and a travelling trophy. On this occasion, Minister of Education Lilja Alfre\u00f0sd\u00f3ttir visited the students, gave a short speech and presented the class with the prize.<\/p>\n

The students decided to donate half of this amount to charity and, following an election, it was decided to give the Alzheimer's Association of Iceland a grant of 75,000 kr\u00f3nur. Truly brilliant representatives of the school community in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. <\/p>\n
