The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur joins the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Festival of Song in its congratulations to all concerned and warmly congratulates Gu\u00f0r\u00fan J\u00f3hanna \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir and Francisco Javier J\u00e1uregui, founders and directors of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Festival of Song, on their nominations to Icelandic Music Awards 2021<\/strong> but the Hafnarborg Song Festival is nominated for \u201eMusic Event of the Year \u2013 Festivals\u201c, as well as the Stuart Skelton concert, The Modern Romantic<\/em>, which took place at the festival, are nominated for \u201eMusic Event of the Year \u2013 Concert\u201c in the classical and contemporary music category.<\/p>\nAndr\u00e9s \u00de\u00f3r Gunnlaugsson, artistic director of S\u00ed\u00f0degist\u00f3nar in Hafnarborg, is also warmly congratulated on the nomination of this new concert series as \u201eMusic Event of the Year \u2013 Concerts\u201c in the jazz and blues category, Furthermore, Andr\u00e9s \u00de\u00f3r is warmly congratulated on his nomination as \u201eMusician of the Year\u201c in the same category.<\/p>\n
We also wish the many performers who have appeared at the Song Festival, S\u00ed\u00f0degist\u00f3nar, the lunchtime concerts and the Hlj\u00f3\u00f0\u00f6num concert series the best of luck with their nominations, with special mention of the violinist Halla Steinunn Stef\u00e1nsd\u00f3ttir, who is nominated for \u201eMusician of the Year\u201c in the classical and contemporary music category. Last year, Halla Steinunn took part in the performance of Dav\u00ed\u00f0 Brynjar Franzson's exhibition, Urban acoustics in the form of an English garden<\/em>, with his instrumental playing.<\/p>\nThe work of Hafnarborg and all those involved in its events and festivals is truly enriched and crystallised by tones and magic.
