It has therefore been decided to launch a campaign against vehicles without number plates that are parked on pavements, open spaces, vacant plots and paths, and which can obstruct views, create a hazard, or contribute to an unsightly appearance of the town. This specifically targets certain neighbourhoods, but such vehicles can be found in almost all neighbourhoods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Tips about vehicles without number plates that have been stationary for a long time are accepted via the council's feedback portal.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"internal\" href=\"\/en\/abendingar\/\">We welcome all feedback \u2013 see here<\/a> <\/p>\n<h4>Individuals and businesses are urged to remove vehicles and property from the premises.&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is authorised, following prior warning, to remove and impound vehicles without number plates from premises adjacent to public thoroughfares, streets and public car parks, and vehicles left in open spaces, at the vehicle owner's expense.
