Verkt\u00e6kni ehf was found to have the most favourable bid and an agreement was reached with them for the project in early summer. Surface work has begun.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>A diverse and captivating outdoor area&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>This concerns a recreational area and a walking trail that connects to the town centre. The project involves the first phase of surfacing the bank, with the aim of making the North Bank a diverse and attractive outdoor recreational area as part of the Strand \u2013 stretching from Langeyrarmelar to the small boat harbour.
