{"id":14676,"date":"2021-05-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/haettustig-vegna-grodurelda\/"},"modified":"2022-09-26T15:17:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T15:17:24","slug":"danger-level-due-to-wildfires","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/haettustig-vegna-grodurelda\/","title":{"rendered":"Wildfire danger level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In light of the fact that a state of emergency is in effect in the capital region due to the risk of wildfires, sends  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.almannavarnir.is\/frettir\/haettustig-vegna-haettu-a-grodureldum\/\">Capital Region Emergency Management<\/a>  has issued the following statement.<\/p>\n<h4>All firework displays are prohibited in the area.<\/h4>\n<p>Due to drought and the risk of wildfires in Hei\u00f0m\u00f6rk and other wooded areas in the capital region, all use of fire is prohibited in the area. SMS messages will be sent to people entering Hei\u00f0m\u00f6rk, but as the area is extensive, it is likely that people nearby will also receive the messages, and we ask for their understanding in light of the urgent situation. The SMS messages are being sent out in Icelandic, English and Polish.
