{"id":14682,"date":"2021-05-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-05-17T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/sumarverkefni-sem-orva-felagsstarf-og-heilsueflingu-fullordinna\/"},"modified":"2022-09-26T15:17:24","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T15:17:24","slug":"summer-project-that-develops-social-work-and-health-promotion-for-adults","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/sumarverkefni-sem-orva-felagsstarf-og-heilsueflingu-fullordinna\/","title":{"rendered":"Projects that promote social engagement and health promotion for adults"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span id=\"tmp_1621254488259_3\"><strong>Home training, courses in the use of smart devices and encouragement and<br \/>\naccompaniment in social activities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur recently received a grant of 5,640,000 kr\u00f3na from<br \/>\nMinistry of Social Affairs in  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stjornarradid.is\/efst-a-baugi\/frettir\/stok-frett\/2021\/03\/04\/125-milljonir-krona-til-orvunar-a-felagsstarfi-og-heilsueflingar-fullordinna-\/\">An initiative by the authorities aimed at promoting social activities and health promotion for adults.<\/a>  Will the grant be used to increase<br \/>\nand to enhance social activities and support services for senior citizens in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur beyond<br \/>\ntraditional social activities and services. Emphasis is placed on the implementation of three projects<br \/>\nthe summer of 2021 which aims, among other things, to reach those groups that are socially<br \/>\nisolated, move little, did not grow up with electronic services and have<br \/>\nDifficult to adopt new technology. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Course on the use of smart devices<\/strong> <br \/>\nMany older people are insecure in using smart devices and therefore online.<br \/>\ncommunications and applications with, for example, public bodies, Health Service, and commercial banks<br \/>\nand more. Proficiency with a smart device also makes it easier for older people to stay in touch.<br \/>\ncommunication with family and loved ones and opens up opportunities, for example, to shop at<br \/>\ninternet, education and information. Three two-week courses will be offered in<br \/>\nUse of smart devices from 1 June to 9 July 2021. Registration is by telephone on 555-0142 and at Hraunseli, Flatahrauni 3, which is also the place of instruction.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>01.06. \u2013 11.06.2021<\/li>\n<li>14.06. \u2013 25.06.2021<\/li>\n<li>28.06. \u2013 09.07.2021<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Home exercise <br \/>\n<\/strong>Many frail older people rarely leave their homes, are both<br \/>\nsocially isolated and move little. Through this summer project<br \/>\nResidents of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will be offered adapted assistance from a member of staff for exercise.<br \/>\nat the person's home, e.g. chair exercises. The exercises are adapted to ability and<br \/>\nthe skills of each individual and have the underlying purpose of empowering the individuals<br \/>\nand to enhance their quality of life and their abilities and skills. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Encouragement and support for social activities <br \/>\n<\/strong>A considerable number of adults who have reached a certain age worry about it.<br \/>\nto take part in the vibrant and interesting social life on offer within<br \/>\nof the municipality. The social activities for senior citizens are run at Hraunsel, Flatahraun 3.<br \/>\nand the activities are extremely varied; billiards, painting, handicrafts, bingo,<br \/>\ndarts and a chat, to name but a few.
