The City Council of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur approved on 8 April 2021, and the Municipal Council on 14 April 2021, a proposal from the Environment and Operations Committee of 12 February 2020 to
\nTo levy a charge for the use of the electric charging point at Fj\u00f6r\u00f0.  At the opening of the station in October 2017, it was announced that charging would initially be free of charge, with a possible fee being introduced at a later stage. <\/a> Over the past three years, just over 11,000 cars have used the charging station. Charging will begin on 4 June 2021.<\/p>\n

The station is a fast-charging point for electric vehicles, located at the Fj\u00f8r\u00f0 shopping centre. It provides 50 kilowatts of fast charging and 22 kilowatts of slow charging.
