This concerns a five-year educational and<br \/>\na research project carried out in collaboration with Dr Hermundur Sigmundsson,<br \/>\nProfessor of Psychology. The project manager is a PhD student in Psychology,<br \/>\nBergsveinn \u00d3lafsson. <\/p>\n<p><strong>A growth mindset increases the chances of success and well-being. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ideology is based on the fact that<br \/>\nan attitude that aims to achieve better results through effort<br \/>\nand therefore a positive attitude towards one's own abilities is a prerequisite for making progress. This<br \/>\nan attitude involves a growth mindset and by adopting or cultivating such a thing<br \/>\nA positive mindset increases the chances of greater success and a better well-being at school and in life.<br \/>\nUsually. Growth mindset versus fixed mindset.<br \/>\na fixed mindset or attitude that involves a lack of belief in one's own ability<br \/>\nor the chances of success, and therefore there is no reason to make an effort.<\/p>\n<p>In play and primary schools<br \/>\nFrom autumn 2021, students in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will receive education on growth mindset.<br \/>\nMeasurements are carried out before and after the training to assess its effectiveness. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Individualised approach and goal setting <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Growth mindset<br \/>\nhas reached the ears of school and educational communities far and wide. Schooling is in constant development.<br \/>\nand leads to a constantly evolving form of learning, greatly shaping attitudes towards education<br \/>\nhow to get out of a jam. The project is intended to develop and promote a mindset that<br \/>\nemphasises that every student has the opportunity to achieve their goals and<br \/>\nimprove ability and performance by applying oneself and not giving up<br \/>\nthe way.
