\nThis summer, as part of Creative Summer Jobs, Brimar \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0arson has been working on a script for an Icelandic musical about a young person.
\npeople who will bear the name Young and Sexy. The musical's name comes from the song Young
\nand sexy<\/em>, by the band Kef LAV\u00cdK.<\/p>\n

The idea of
\nThe musical has been simmering for over two years.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The idea for the musical
\nit happened just over two years ago, when they were students at
\nFlensburg School, but since then the idea has developed and is now slowly but surely being implemented.
\nbecome a reality. As it is, they are working hard to fine-tune
\nThe work. The first and second drafts of the musical are in, and they are halfway through the third draft.<\/p>\n

The musical Young and Sexy
\nIt's basically a full-length jukebox musical, but there are musicals in it.
\nas the music consists of well-known songs, instead of original compositions. The music will be
\nwill be a focal point in the performance and will include Icelandic hip hop and pop songs
\nfrom the last fifteen years. Among them are; She's got the hang of it.<\/em>
\n(Fri\u00f0rik D\u00f3r), Shooting stars<\/em> (Gabriel, Opee, Valdimar Gu\u00f0mundsson), The heart
\ntook a leap<\/em> (Raven), Out into space<\/em> (Bears), It always brightens up<\/em>
\n(Kristmundur Axel) and Quiet Cowboy<\/em> (Br\u00edet) provided that they get permission
\nthe authors' permission to use the songs in the show.<\/p>\n

Those interested can follow
\nthese ever-writing authors live at the Pallett caf\u00e9 in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur on
\nbetween 10 and 2 pm every Monday and Wednesday until the end of July. There they offer people to
\nsit down with them for a casual chat which more often than not ends with someone
\nA new idea creeps into the work. It is possible to monitor daily tasks and
