It was deemed appropriate on the opening day of the Children's Book and Film Festival.<br \/>\nto get a group of nursery school children to take<br \/>\npart of the formal opening of the lighthouse by filling it with books from home.<br \/>\nEach child left their book in the lighthouse, and now it is full of adventures and<br \/>\ninteresting books. Reading and reading comprehension are important to the people of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and are<br \/>\nThe project is part of efforts to further promote access to books. The people of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<br \/>\nand friends of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are encouraged to make use of the library in their search for adventure and new knowledge,<br \/>\nto pick up a book and put another down<br \/>\nthe place.  <\/p>\n<h4><strong>A community project that promotes togetherness and<br \/>\nSocial connections <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Men in Sheds is a community project by the Red Cross<br \/>\nLaunched at the beginning of 2018 and is now, among other places, located at Helluhrauni 8 in<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The project, which is based on an Australian model, is well known throughout<br \/>\nEurope and is based on the ideology that men communicate best when they<br \/>\nare working shoulder to shoulder with something in their hands. The shed itself is intended as<br \/>\nA safe and friendly platform for men aged 18 and over to meet.<br \/>\nand work on creative and fun projects, together or on their own<br \/>\nat their own pace and on their own terms. Reading is truly the game of life.&nbsp;<\/sup><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Children's Book and Film Festival 2021<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>The Children's Book and Film Festival, a cultural festival for children in<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is held from 6th to 13th October. This week will be special.<br \/>\nan emphasis on books and films within Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's nursery and primary schools and<br \/>\ncreative and fun projects related to both. Purpose<br \/>\nthe aim of the festival is to foster children's interest in reading and literacy in the broadest sense and<br \/>\nThe festival supports the town's nursery and primary schools' ongoing literacy project.<br \/>\nin recent years.
