The filmmaker and director Gunnar Bj\u00f6rn
\nGu\u00f0mundsson will visit all Year 8 pupils in primary schools in the coming days.
\nHafnarfjar\u00f0ar and discuss the making of films, talk to students and discuss
\nthe working process in filmmaking. During his visit, Gunnar will talk about his work.
\nand educate the children about how a film is made, from the first draft to
\nthe finished work. The visit is intended to foster interest in
\nfilm-making and understanding of
\nthe entire process.<\/p>\n

\"IMG_0017\"Gunnar Bj\u00f6rn is an experienced professional. <\/h4>\n

Gunnar Bj\u00f6rn has worked in theatre, television and film.
\nfor over two decades. Gunnar Bj\u00f6rn has, among other things, directed the New Year's Eve sketch show,
\ntelevision programmes about \u00c6var the Scientist and the films Astr\u00f3p\u00eda, Gauragangur and now
\nmost recently \u00d6mmu H\u00f3fi, which was largely filmed in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and premiered in
\nTown cinema.<\/p>\n

The children's book and film festival in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur formally concluded on Wednesday.
\n13th October with a cinema party at B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3. This cultural festival for children in
\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has been in session for the past week, and the town's schools and museums
\nTake an active part in the festival with a break from school activities, events and workshops.
\nThe Children's Book and Film Festival places a special emphasis on books and films.
\nwithin Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's nursery and primary schools and creative and fun projects that
\nrelated to both. The purpose of the festival is to encourage children's interest in reading.
\nand literacy in the broad sense, and the festival supports literacy projects for nurseries and
\nthe town's primary school, which has been under way for the past few terms. <\/p>\n
