{"id":14830,"date":"2021-11-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/bruin-valin-til-thatttoku-i-althjodlegri-keppni-unicef\/"},"modified":"2022-09-26T15:18:37","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T15:18:37","slug":"chosen-to-take-part-in-the-unicef-international-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/bruin-valin-til-thatttoku-i-althjodlegri-keppni-unicef\/","title":{"rendered":"The bridge was selected for participation in an international UNICEF competition."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A nomination concerning the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Bridge was recently submitted to a Unicef international competition entitled <strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/childfriendlycities.org\/2021-inspire-awards\/\">Child Friendly Cities and Local Governments Inspire Awards<\/a> <\/strong> and the Bridge then takes part in the category <strong>Child-friendly social services<\/strong> or child-friendly social services.<\/p>\n<p>The Bridge's approach has been in development since 2018, with the aim of integrating services for Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's nursery and primary school children and their families. The emphasis is on providing increased services at an earlier stage, with the involvement of interdisciplinary Bridge teams in the nurseries and primary schools.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"internal\" href=\"\/en\/ibuar\/schools-and-children\/bruin\/\">All information about the Bridge can be found on the town's website.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Practice for the well-being of children&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>The bridge was selected from numerous entries to take part in the final, where the public will vote, and the winners will be announced on 17 November. The staff of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are extremely proud of the Br\u00faarinnar's methodology, which has widely received well-deserved attention.
