A Christmas greeting from the Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur appeared in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's Christmas Magazine 2021 <\/a> which is published for the third year in a row and distributed to homes in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Gar\u00f0ab\u00e6r, K\u00f3pavogur and parts of Reykjav\u00edk. <\/p>\n

Enjoy the Advent in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur \u2013 in the warm and charming Christmas town. <\/h4>\n

The soft and beautiful Christmas lights have started to brighten up life in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and we are all getting into the true festive spirit. The Christmas town lives up to its name and is shining brighter than ever. In recent years, Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has become a real hit as a Christmas town, where the beautifully decorated Christmas village and houses, charming specialist shops and a wide variety of restaurants, cultural centres and, most recently, Hellisger\u00f0i in its Christmas finery, have attracted visitors from far and wide. The warmth and friendly atmosphere are a great draw, and at this time of year, it is lovely to seek out the cosy and relaxed ambience that we have managed to create here in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n

The Christmas decorations that were put up in Hellisger\u00f0i last Advent proved that people appreciate a humble, charming experience in the embrace of a magical environment. People flocked to experience the enchanting beauty and the interplay of the soft lights and nature. Beautiful greenhouses have recently been set up in Hellisger\u00f0i, where you can sit inside and enjoy delicious refreshments and the unique beauty of our pleasure garden. In addition to everything the town already has to offer during Advent, it has been decided to set up the \u201cHeart Rink\", thereby making the old dream of many for a skating rink in the health-promoting town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur a reality. It can therefore be said that the Christmas village, in all its splendour, has spread throughout the town centre and now also into Hellisger\u00f0i.<\/p>\n

We look forward to welcoming you all. <\/strong>\u2013 and look forward to enjoying entertainment, art, culture, shopping and dining together in the Christmas town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, which is looking its very best at the moment.<\/p>\n
