Hellisger\u00f0i in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur delightfully established itself during the 2020 Advent season as a charming and inviting wonderland. This beautiful public garden in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has, just like last year, been transformed into a charming and inviting wonderland in the run-up to Christmas, and its lights will delight visitors and passers-by during Advent. The large red Christmas heart at the entrance from Reykjavikurveg sets the tone and warmly welcomes visitors. This is followed by a magical world of lights, where beautiful strings of lights and illuminated figures delight the eye and the spirit. The enchanting little caf\u00e9 in Hellisger\u00f0i and the two greenhouses, which were set up in late summer, will be open every weekend during Advent.<\/p>\n

In December, a treasure hunt will be offered in Hellisger\u00f0i, and the prize will be drawn from the submitted answers on 7 January 2022.

Christmas Village and Christmas Wonderland in the Christmas town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/h4>\n

The town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur welcomed Christmas with the opening of its annual Christmas Village last weekend, a village full of joy, delicious treats and fun Christmas wares, much like the town itself. The Christmas Village will be open every Saturday and Sunday during Advent, and on Christmas Eve. The Christmas spirit, glow and joy of the Christmas Village has this year, just like last, been moved and extended into Hellisger\u00f0i, where an attractive and enchanting Christmas land has been created for people to experience, enjoy the outdoors and spend time with family and friends. Many residents of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and friends of the town enjoyed the garden during the 2020 Advent season, making their way through it on their walk around the Christmas town. People could be seen enjoying a cup of coffee and refreshments in the caf\u00e9, families on a picnic with hot chocolate and Christmas biscuits, children doing some light lava rock climbing and exploring the caves, and skating on the pond at the bottom of the garden. The Christmas Adventure Land in Hellisger\u00f0i is open 24\/7 throughout Advent and into the New Year. In mid-December, the Hjartasvelli\u00f0 in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is also set to open, offering another unique opportunity for a different kind of experience in the heart of the town.<\/p>\n

Town Cinema and the Christmas Heart of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/h4>\n

In December, Town Cinema<\/a> to conjure up The J\u00f3lahjarta Hafnarfjar\u00f0ar music festival.<\/a> The festival will have a similar format to other music festivals associated with the Town Hall Cinema \u2013 in a huge marquee in the back garden, with free entry to the area. There will be troubadours, DJs and a \u201esing-along\u201c to entertain the crowd. B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3 and Matth\u00edsenstofa hold an important place in the hearts of the town's residents and friends of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur who attend events and seek upliftment there during Advent. Regular Advent fixtures will be on offer, as well as some new additions. Among the many performers taking to the stage at J\u00f3lahjarta\u00f0 in B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3 this year are brothers J\u00f3n J\u00f3nsson and Fri\u00f0rik D\u00f3r, father and daughter Bj\u00f6rgvin Halld\u00f3rsson and Svala Bj\u00f6rgvinsd\u00f3ttir, along with Margr\u00e9t Eir and Gu\u00f0r\u00fan \u00c1rn\u00fd, who will be leading the singalong. <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
