The Christmas stroll began with mulled wine at the book caf\u00e9 on the North Shore, and afterwards, the FKA women made the most of the time, soaking up the festive spirit in the Christmas town, which is looking its very best these days. The members spent time together, visited fellow members in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, went shopping, enjoyed their time together and the food, and received a presentation and a wonderful reception in the shops with refreshments and offers. It seemed only fitting to end the Christmas stroll in  <a href=\"\/en\/province\/news\/the-world-of-light-and-the-houses-of-the-possibilities-in-hellisgerdi\/\" class=\"internal\">The splendour of the lights in Hellisger\u00f0i <\/a> where Mayor R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir welcomed the group at the new greenhouses with a few brief words and light refreshments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/img_9887.jpeg\" alt=\"IMG_9887\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 2048px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 2048\/1536;\"><sup>The annual FKA Christmas walk 2021 took place in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.&nbsp;<\/sup><\/p>\n<h4>The fun and historical connection of the Christmas Village and FKA<\/h4>\n<p>It can actually be said that  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mbl.is\/greinasafn\/grein\/765552\/\">The idea for the Christmas Village in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur originated during the course \u201eWealth in the Power of Women\u201d.<\/a>  Anna Sigurborg \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir, at the time the Director of the Service and Development Department for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, attended the course and her business idea for a Christmas Village in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur took flight in 2003. Anna Sigurborg is therefore the original mastermind behind the Christmas Village, which has since grown and flourished and has now become an essential part of the Advent season for many.
