The deadline for applications is 6th May, and the grants will be allocated by the Town Council.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"left\">Applicants must have a connection to Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in some way. For example, through the applicant's permanent residence, by the event or project being supported taking place in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and\/or by including a promotion of something related to the municipality.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Here you can find the rules for grants and an application form. The festival will be the highlight of a variety of celebrations taking place throughout the town, which will delight residents and visitors alike and reflect the diverse cultural life of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. In a normal year, this first town festival of its kind in the country lasts for five days, but it has been decided that the festival, which begins on the last day of winter with the selection of a Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur town artist, the awarding of cultural grants and a summer concert by students, will run throughout the summer, and the grants are intended, among other things, to fund events and happenings across the town this summer.
