The photographs were taken by the photographer Anna J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur between 1930 and 1962. Most of the photographs were taken at the beginning of Anna's career in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, between 1930 and 1940, when the town was growing rapidly. Since then, it has undergone considerable changes.
