Number<br \/>\nThe number of new children in nurseries in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in autumn 2022 is 426. The settling-in period began at<br \/>\nmost of them in August and is scheduled to end on 10 September. Three<br \/>\nNurseries have postponed part of their induction until the end of September or thereabouts.<br \/>\nuntil the appointments are concluded. The deferral applies to 17 children. This summer, 28 new applications were received.<br \/>\nApplications for children of school age and they will be allocated in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Mobile classrooms set up at three nurseries  <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>A mobile installation is currently underway.<br \/>\nclassrooms at three nurseries in the municipality. It is planned that<br \/>\nthe classrooms will be ready for use in the autumn term of 2022. Portable<br \/>\nClassrooms open up to 100 nursery places in addition to the places that are already<br \/>\nare available within the municipality but today there are 1,651 children in 17 nurseries and will be<br \/>\nthen around 1751 after the expansion. In 2016, a benchmark regarding<br \/>\nAge for main autumn enrolment: 18 months. Today and in recent years.<br \/>\nthe benchmark has been 15 months. Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur municipality has been looking at<br \/>\nthe possibilities of establishing flexible arrangements which should contribute to<br \/>\na shorter working week for everyone, both children and staff. During the year, an analysis is set to begin and<br \/>\npreparation for the expansion of the Sm\u00e1ralundur nursery by one unit with this in mind<br \/>\nto lower the school leaving age for children further in well-considered steps over the coming years. Today, a total of 23 posts are vacant in<br \/>\nthe town's nursery school system or an average of 1.35 full-time equivalent posts per school.
