The Christmas Village Adventure Every Weekend
The second weekend of the Christmas Village will be a big one. There's a fireworks display on Friday evening, the opening of the shops in the new Fjord, and a host of wonderful events all weekend. Then Grýla will be wandering around the Christmas Village on Sunday.
It will be wonderful to stop off at the glasshouses on Thorsplan, our experience houses:
- Saturday: The Circolo sisters love to delight the nation and take pride in every little detail. They work with high-quality ingredients and exquisite packaging. Circolo produces handmade chocolate topped with exotic flavours – an experience that brings you joy and love.
- Sunday: Icelandic handmade blankets – come and feel how soft they are!
And the programme is not a bad one. The main points:
On Friday
- 18:45 Singing session with Sveinka
- 19:20 Christmas Town Fireworks Display from the seafront, directly opposite the Fjord.
On Saturday
- 16:00 Princesses prepare for Christmas at Thorsplan
- 18:00 – 20:00 Photo shoot with Sveinka on the stage at Thorsplan
- 19:00 A performance group from the Hafnarfjörður School of Choreography dances at Thor's Square, by Hjarta Square and in Hellisgerði Park.
On Sunday
- At 15:30, Tufti and the Troll Children will be visiting the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum.

- Icelandic loyalty, celebrating its 20th anniversary, showcases products from Icelandic berries, herbs and seaweed.
